Traditionally many churches in Church of England take this service on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. During the service nine lessons and carols usually read and sing. We reduced them to seven.
The lessons begin in Genesis with the Fall of Adam and Godfs promise to Abraham and move on through the prophecies of Isaiah to St Lukefs descriptions the Annunciation, the birth of Jesus, and the shepherdfs visit to the manger. St John e unfolds the great mystery of the Incarnationf.
The music is a response to the words, sings by congregation.

™After the service, tea and light meal will be served at the church hall.
